web server
Blow asked:

I’m thinking of setting up a web server behind my home router, just try it. Is it illegal?. My ISP does not explicitly mention anything about setting up a web server by using a home internet connection. Where can I get more info??

Thanks in advance.

talk to your ISP. Most of them don’t allow it, although you can probably get away with it if it’s not getting too much traffic.

It’s not illegal, but it’s likely a violation of your Terms of Service unless you have a business level account. However, they have no way of finding out if you use a nonstandard port and don’t use a lot of upload bandwidth (hint hint).
